Sultanate of Oman | New low pressure area detected in the central Arabian Sea
Arab Weather - Sinan Khalaf - The latest satellite images are currently monitoring an area of low atmospheric pressure, which is centered in the middle of the Arabian Sea, where cumulonimbus clouds are active and accompanied by rainfall in the sea, which may affect maritime navigation in that area.
The latest computer modelling outputs indicate that the low pressure area will move westwards to gradually approach the coasts of Dhofar Governorate on Monday and Tuesday, with clouds flowing towards the coasts, accompanied by showers of varying intensity, which may sometimes be accompanied by lightning and thunder.

According to the weather forecast team's analyses, the low pressure area is expected to move towards the eastern coasts of Yemen starting from Wednesday, away from the coasts of Dhofar. The low pressure area is not expected to develop into a tropical storm or hurricane during its journey towards the coasts of Dhofar and Yemen in the coming days, and God knows best.
