January (1) 2022:
Egypt and the Levant
On 1/1/2022, the Kingdom and Palestine were affected by a state of atmospheric instability that led to showers of rain falling, including the city of Aqaba. At the same time, Egypt was exposed to a strong air depression, accompanied by heavy snowfall on St. The Jordan Valley, after which the Kingdom was affected by a third-degree depression, followed by another wave of freezing.
After that, the Levant was affected by several depressions, the most severe of which was on January 26, when the region was affected by an air depression and a polar air mass, which led to the accumulation of heavy snow in most regions of the Kingdom and the Levant, and it was classified as a fourth degree.
Arabia and Iraq
At the beginning of the year, a state of air instability affected southern Iraq, and then northern Iraq was affected by heavy snow and a severe cold wave. On Saturday, January 1, a wide state of air instability arose, which included all the Arab Gulf countries. On the same day, heavy snow fell on Jabal Al-Lawz in Tabuk in Saudi Arabia As for Kuwait, the capital, Kuwait, was subjected to drowning after it was affected by a state of atmospheric instability resulting from the crossing of a cold air front due to heavy snowfall.

Levant and Egypt
The Levant was affected by a limited number of regular depressions during the month of February, some of which brought snow on the southern heights of Jordan, in addition to the mountains of Lebanon and Palestine. Egypt was also affected by one depression during this month.
As for the cases of atmospheric instability, Egypt and the Levant were affected by one case of atmospheric instability, which brought heavy rains in southern Jordan and Palestine.
Arabia and Iraq
The region did not witness any weather events except for a state of air instability that affected the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE in the middle of the month

The month of March was classified as the first since about 19 years ago in the Levant and Jordan, where the country witnessed many depressions that were accompanied by air masses of polar origin sometimes that caused rain at times and snow at other times for the tall mountains, in addition to severe and unusual frost and freezing waves, the most prominent of which was with the middle of the month.
As for Egypt, it witnessed an extension of air depressions to the northern regions, which were accompanied by cold weather and showers of rain at intervals, in addition to the activity of the five-year depressions in Egypt in the first week of the month.
The Arabian Gulf and Iraq
Cold air masses to several parts of the Arab Gulf states that were very cold over Iraq brought a sharp drop in temperatures, and cold to very cold weather predominated, especially with the night hours coinciding with the activity of surface winds that stirred dust and dust, and coincided with the emergence of unstable weather conditions that caused precipitation Thunderstorms in some areas, in addition to snowfall over the mountainous heights and western regions of Iraq.
Multiple sandstorms formed, the most prominent of which was a strong sandy cloud that started on the fourth day of the month and moved from Iraq towards Kuwait and eastern Saudi Arabia to Qatar and Bahrain.

The Levant witnessed a late depression extension for this time of the year on 5/5/2022, which brought a significant decrease in temperatures and showers of rain in parts of Syria and Lebanon, all the way to northern and central Palestine and Jordan.
The month was characterized by five-year depressions, which brought a significant rise in temperatures and dense dusty waves to the south and east of Jordan, all the way to the north and east of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait.
A regional sandstorm formed in the middle of the month, sweeping all regions of Iraq and Kuwait and spreading to eastern and central Saudi Arabia and later to Bahrain, Qatar and parts of the Emirates. It was accompanied by disruption of air, sea and even land traffic, and the occurrence of many traffic accidents, especially Iraq and Kuwait.
In the period 23-34/5/2022, an air mass with temperatures lower than normal rushed towards the Levant, pushing strong northwesterly winds over Iraq and the Arabian Gulf, which led to the formation of a regional sandstorm that pervaded all regions of Iraq and Kuwait and extended to eastern and central Saudi Arabia and later to Bahrain and Qatar. And parts of the Emirates, accompanied by disruption of air, sea and even land traffic, and the occurrence of many traffic accidents, especially Iraq and Kuwait.
Maghreb and Africa
Far-flung weather disturbances over Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, all the way to Libya, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity, which led to the formation of torrential rains and the rise in the water level at times.
June (6) 2022
Levant and Egypt
On 6/2/2022, a dense dusty wave arose that followed an unusual path from northern Saudi Arabia to eastern Jordan and later towards eastern and central Syria and reached southern Turkish territory. It was caused by the formation of a deep thermal depression near northern Saudi Arabia and eastern Jordan.
The month was marked by the influence of the Levant, especially Jordan, with relatively hot air masses, accompanied by high temperatures and the predominance of relatively hot weather in general, and hot in the lowlands and desert areas, while Egypt was under the influence of very hot air masses.
A period of 12-13/6/2022, an air mass of moderate temperature rushed to the Levant and Jordan, accompanied by a significant decrease in temperatures and a moderate atmosphere during the day and tending to be cold and moist at night, and showers of rain fell on the coasts of the Levant, extending to northern Palestine and Jordan, as and at the same time A dense dusty wave formed in the areas of Badia Al-Sham as a result of the activity of surface winds.
And the period 21-22/6/2022, a marine air mass with moderate temperature, brought a mild summer atmosphere during the day, and tended to be cold and moist at night, with the spread of quantities of clouds and showers of rain on the coasts of the Levant.
During the period 25-26/6/2022, a state of atmospheric instability was formed, characterized by force, on the coasts of Syria and Lebanon, sporadicly extending towards the interior regions, accompanied by heavy rains, hail showers, and the occurrence of severe thunderstorms along the coastal strip extending from northern Syria to Lebanon, which caused the formation of torrential torrents in the roads, the breaking of a large number of trees, and the occurrence of material damage and lives as a result of the strong winds and torrential torrents.
The Arabian Gulf
A very hot air mass, some of which reached the name of a heat wave, was accompanied by a rise in temperatures to record levels exceeding 50 degrees Celsius in Kuwait during the day in the interior regions, during which the highest temperature on earth was recorded at 53 degrees Celsius in Jahra.
Activity on the Al-Bawareh winds and dense and multiple dust waves that hit several parts of the Arab Gulf countries
A period of 6/26/2022 arose in a state of air instability over Iraq, accompanied by the formation of thunderclouds in northern Iraq, extending to the western regions, accompanied by showers of varying intensity of rain, and many dust waves were formed that were more concentrated in the northern regions.

The humid monsoon winds caused multiple rain waves over large areas of the Arabian Peninsula, the most severe of which was the period 27-28 of the month, when the Arabian Peninsula was affected by unusually unstable weather conditions for such a time. Heavy rains fell in the eastern Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and parts of Saudi Arabia, which led to the formation of torrential rains. The water level rose, and Fujairah, in the east of the Emirates, recorded the highest amount of rainfall, with 234 mm in less than 48 hours.
The intensification of the India seasonal depression in Kuwait, Iraq and northern Saudi Arabia, and heat waves that led to the weather becoming very hot, with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius in some areas.
