موقع"طقس العرب"الالكتروني-عمل نشاط الرياح الكبير المُصاحب للمُنخفض الجوي الذي بدأ بالتأثير على جمهورية مصر مع ساعات ما بعد ظهر الاثنين 10-12-2012 على إثارة الرمال و الغبار و الأتربة بشكل واضح من المناطق الصحراوية المُحاذية للساحل مما أدى إلى تدني مدى الرؤية الافقية في العديد من اتلك المناطق.
و انخفض مدى الرؤية الافقية في مطار برج العرب في الاسكندرية إلى 4000 متر بسبب الرمال في حين أنه تدني لمستوى 1200 متر فقط في مرسى مطروح بحسب النشرات الصادرة عن محطات الرصد في المطار.
و أوضحت صور الاقمار الاصطناعية المُلتقطة مع ساعات الظهر من القمر الاصطناعي تيرّا هبوب الرياح المُحملة بالغبار من الصحراء نحو السواحل و البحر،و ذلك قبل ساعات من بدء هطول الامطار المتوقع على أجزاء عدة من المناطق الساحلية إضافة غلى شمال الدلتا.
