Royal Oman Police | We have dealt with more than 60 reports of vehicle drifting and detention during the past 24 hours
Weather of Arabia - The Royal Oman Police and the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority dealt with many reports related to the tropical situation that the Sultanate is exposed to, and most of the reports were stationed in the South Sharqiyah Governorate.
During the day, police operations received more than (60) reports that varied between drifting, detaining people and vehicles, asking for help, and disrupting the affected roads. In addition, a number of vehicles that were sunk and seized were taken out.
To optimally deal with the weather situation, the Royal Oman Police activated the sub-committees of the National Emergency Management Committee in the governorates of South Al Sharqiah, Dhofar, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South Al Sharqiah, Al Dhahirah and Muscat Governorate.
The Royal Oman Police calls upon citizens and residents to adhere to safety procedures during the weather, follow instructions, cooperate with policemen deployed in various locations, and abide by the decisions of the Supreme Committee charged with examining the mechanism of dealing with the Corona virus (Covid 19) to avoid transmission of infection with this epidemic.
