A unique phenomenon: frozen waterfalls and hot springs side by side in China

Arabia Weather - In various areas of the famous Taihang Mountain Range in Shanxi and Hebei Provinces in northern China, some waterfalls took a break from the natural flow of water to transform into charming ice columns and curtains.

This icy natural phenomenon forms wonderful artistic forms on the sides of the cliffs, and in the town of Niangziguan, Pingding County, Yangquan City, Shaanxi Province, the waterfalls freeze due to the significant drop in temperature.

Fragments of ice hang charmingly from the waterfall on the western slope of the central section of Mount Taihang, forming an expressive image of still water next to the established pillars of ice.

In the southern part of Mount Taihang, Xingtai Grand Valley in Xingtai City in Hebei adds another artistic touch, as another waterfall has a pure white ice wall that extends for miles, and crystal ice forms exquisitely on various plants, including bamboo shoots and flowers, creating a spectacle. Enchanting and making visitors feel as if they have entered a fantasy winter town.

Visitors flocked in large numbers to enjoy these natural artistic paintings, as one tourist expressed his admiration, saying:

“It's a very beautiful and amazing view.”

Another tourist added:

“Clear columns of ice create a stunning scene against the backdrop of this magnificent mountain, which appears surprisingly special.”
