Urgent | The depression raised the cumulative rain volume to (28.1%), and the highest percentage of precipitation was recorded in the Bayader Wadi Al-Seer area

Arab Weather - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation said that the recent air depression raised the volume of cumulative rain falling from the beginning of the season on all governorates of the Kingdom until this morning, Saturday (15-1-2022) to (28.1%) from the long-term annual average of (8, 1) billion cubic metres.

And that the highest percentage of precipitation until this morning was recorded in the capital Amman / Bayader Wadi Al-Seer region (25.8) mm, explaining that the flow in the valleys and torrents needs between 24-48 hours to reach the dams, as the quantities of water entering the dams until this morning amounted to about (1.5) million m3 to raise the total storage to about (89) million m3, with a total storage rate of (26.3%) of its total capacity of (336.4) million m3, and the quantities entering King Talal Dam concentrated on about (1) million m3

Regarding precipitation rates, it showed that its monitoring stations recorded an average of 15.3 mm in the governorates of the capital, Amman, Al Balqa (12.3 mm), Madaba (14.9) mm, Zarqa (3.4 mm) and Jerash (6) ,3) mm, Mafraq (1,7) mm, Irbid (4.5 mm, Ajloun (10,7) mm, Karak (1) mm, while the stations in Tafileh, Maan and Aqaba governorates did not record any quantities

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation called on everyone to take advantage of all rainfall and not to dump waste into valley streams, to ensure that rainwater gutters are not connected to sewage networks, and to ensure that water meters and household water facilities are protected from freezing expected in the coming days.
