Urgent: Upgrading the Next Air Depression Classification to the Fourth Class (Storm Class)

Weather of Arabia - The Regional Weather Center of Meteorology and Forecasting announced the rise in the rating of the incoming air depression to the fourth degree (the degree of storm) according to the innovative scale of the classification of weather depressions in Jordan. Weather forecasters in the operation room of the "Arab Weather" center stated that current and rapid updates of the latest developments and information of this air depression via satellite, computer simulation models and meteorological stations will be followed up and periodic updates will be made to the severity of the air drop.

And it was found through the latest information and data analyzed and received that the upcoming air depression rose to a fourth degree (storm degree), for several reasons, perhaps the most important of which is the expectation of low air pressure values in the center of the air depression north of Egyptian lands to record values of up to 983 millibars are unusual values in the eastern Mediterranean region and have never been recorded before in the region except perhaps once in the last 100 years. The effect of this sharp drop on air pressure comes in the form of strong winds and a storm blowing over the Kingdom with the hours of this night (Thursday-Friday night), where some computer simulation models indicate that the speed of wind gusts may exceed 120 km / hour in many areas, including The Jordan Valley and Dead Sea regions. And these wind speeds are not usual in Jordan. These winds are accompanied by dust and sandstorms that affect parts of Jordanian cities and lead to a decline and possibly a lack of horizontal visibility.

On a related level, heavy thunderstorms are expected to rain from the will of God, especially with the hours of this night and in conjunction with strong winds, and it is not unlikely that these heavy showers of rain will be accompanied by a high risk of sudden torrential rain and runoff of valleys and reefs, in Various parts of the kingdom.

And all of the above is considered within the context of the Kingdom being affected by the introduction of this stormy depression, which is expected to move gradually from the north of the Egyptian lands towards the Kingdom with the hours of day and Friday, so that the chances of rain weakening slightly and temporarily before returning to precipitation and with great abundance as of hours Friday afternoon and evening.

Due to the movement of the depression and its path, it is expected to cause strong south winds to blow over the Gulf of Aqaba, which are believed to cause a significant rise in the waves.

And it is advisable to weather the Arabs not to go out in the late hours of the night except for the extreme necessity and that the periodic alerts and warnings be taken seriously.
