موقع ArabiaWeather.com – بحسب حصيلة أولية للزلزال القوي الذي ضرب النيبال صباح اليوم السبت والذي بلغت قوته 7,9 على  مقياس رختر فقد سقط  أكثر من 1000 قتيل ، ولا يزال العديد تحت الانقاض وعمليات البحث عنهم مستمرة بحسب قناة فرانس 24.

 

ويُشار الى ان الزلزال وقع في فترة موسم تسلق الجبال للهواة ما يزيد احتمال ارتفاع عدد الضحايا بفعل الانهيارات الثلجية التي وقعت على  سلسلة جبال الهمالايا بعد الزلزال.
