موقع ArabiaWeather.com - أعلنت سلطنة عُمان عبر وزارة الأوقاف و الشؤون الدينية في بيانٍ لها عن عدم ثبوت رؤية هلال شهر رمضان المُبارك و عليه فإن غداً السبت هو المُتمم لشهر شعبان لهذا العام 1435هــ. و قال البيان بأن الوزارة تعتمد على العلم و الفلك في ترصد غُرة الأشهر القمرية في حال عدم وجود فرصة لرؤية الأهلة بحسب الحسابات الفلكية.
و صرح عمار بن سالم الرواحي مدير دائرة الشؤون الفلكية بوزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الدينية أن الحسابات الفكية التي أجريت حول رؤية هلال شهر رمضان لهذا العام تشير إلى استحالة الرؤية في جميع محافظات ومناطق السلطنة في يوم الجمعة 29 شعبان 1435هـ الموافق 27 يونيو 2014م وذلك لغروب القمر قبل غروب الشمس بدقيقتين حيث سيغرب القمر في محافظة مسقط الساعة السادسة وخمس وخمسين دقيقة (18:55) مساءً بتوقيت السلطنة وستغرب الشمس الساعة السادسة وسبع وخمسين دقيقة (18:57) مساءً. مضيفا ان القمر سيغرب في مدينة صلالة الساعة السابعة ودقيقتين (19:02) مساءً بتوقيت السلطنة وستغرب الشمس عند الساعة السابعة والدقيقة الواحدة (19:01) مساءً، أي سيغرب الهلال بعد غروب الشمس بدقيقة واحدة فقط، وتستحيل رؤيته وذلك لأن قرص الشمس يحتاج من بداية غروب الحافة السفلية من القرص إلى غروب الحافة العليا من القرص ما يقارب ثلاث دقائق فلذلك لا يمكن رؤية الهلال في صلالة، وعليه يكون يوم السبت هو المتمم لشهر شعبان ويكون يوم الأحد هو غرة شهر رمضان المبارك .
و بذلك تُعتبر سلطنة عُمان هي أول دولة عربية تُعلن بأن الأحد هو اليوم الأول لشهر رمضان المُبارك بشكل رسمي.
