Arab Weather - The media team at the Arab Weather Regional Center responded to many video clips of what can be described as rare snowfall on the coasts of the Gulf of Mexico, which accumulated starting from zero above sea level and hindered aspects of public life, which is classified as having a tropical climate, as this climate event is considered exceptional and even historic and has not occurred for at least 60 years.

The United States was affected by a very cold polar wave that extended towards the southern states of North America, and at that time the polar air reached the states overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, and during the control of the polar winds, the coastal areas of the Gulf of Mexico recorded negative temperatures reaching about 10 degrees below zero, and this is very surprising. The coasts of the Gulf of Mexico also witnessed historical snowfall and accumulation that had not occurred in 60 years, and it is expected that some snowfall will extend to northern Mexico.

The Gulf of Mexico has a tropical climate, which is hot and humid year-round. According to the National Weather Service, this climate has two main seasons: hot and humid summers and mild, warm winters, but this year's winter has been a departure from the usual weather patterns in these areas.

Winter storms cover several US states, heavy snow paralyzes traffic

Experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center explained that weather systems in the northern hemisphere of the Earth caused an increase in the rush of very cold air from the North Pole towards North America. As a result of the polar winds crossing the waters of the northeastern oceans and the interaction between the cold air and the warm and humid weather systems in the ocean, deep air depressions are formed, developing into strong storms with low air pressure values.

The storms, especially in the western and eastern United States, are accompanied by large cold air fronts that lead to strong winds and very high waves, with heavy rain and heavy snowfall in many areas, including northern California, Oregon and Washington. Temperatures are expected to drop below zero in several areas, where the weather is very cold.
