Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany
Here you can find the most beautiful mountain scenes in Germany, characterized by high mountain peaks and steep rocks, so it has become one of the favorite places to visit, and one of the attractions is the ice cave that you cannot visit without guided tours.
To get to Berchtesgaden you have to take the high-speed RailJet train from Munich to Salzburg in Austria, and from there take a bus to the National Park arriving after 45 minutes.
Chamonix, France
There is the highest cable car network in Europe, to climb to the highest peak in the Alps and in Western Europe "Mont Blanc", where you can enjoy panoramic views of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps.
Chamonix (Chamonix-Mont-Blanc station) can be reached in just over four hours by train from Lyon (Lyon-Part-Dieu station) with a changeover at Saint-Gervais-les-Bains.
Krimml Falls, Austria
It is the highest waterfall in Austria and is located in the Hoh Tauern National Park. Impressive with its height of 380 meters and the roar of the water is almost deafening, the waterfall is an easy way to climb to the top by climbing for 45 minutes.
The snow-capped peaks and glaciers of the Krimml can be reached by regional train from Salzburg towards Zell am See, the whole journey taking just over three hours.
Thermal springs in Saturina , Italy
Locals in Tuscany like to keep these natural hot springs top secret but they are free and open all year round and have likely been used for thousands of years according to a nearby Roman gate dating back to the 2nd century BC.
The closest train station to this area is Albinia, from there you can take a 45-minute bus ride to Manciano, and another 30-minute bus ride to Saturina, probably worth the effort and probably best to rent a car.
Dubrovnik beaches, Croatia
There are beaches for all tastes in Dubrovnik, sandy, pebbly or rocky. Among the most popular beaches are Bangui, Uvala Lapad and Copacabana. You can also take a boat ride for a short distance to reach the Elafiti Islands and explore more beaches there.
The train line in Croatia does not run as far south as Dubrovnik, but you can reach the city of Split and then transfer by boat or bus.
