Cities selected to be part of the A-List, including Amman, have submitted their environmental data to the city-level emissions inventory. This was accompanied by the publication of an environmental and climate action plan, in addition to providing a climate risk assessment and setting a climate adaptation target. This indicates how to deal with the risks of climate change, and is backed by a political commitment from the city's mayor. As for the Municipality of Amman, it implemented these measures by launching the climate change plan for the city of Amman in 2019, as part of its membership in the C40 Leadership Cities Network.
