`Unbelievable` video.. Two bees manage to open the cap of a soda bottle to reach the liquid
Arab weather - Most of us are aware of the importance of bees in pollinating flowers and producing fruits, and of course the production of honey, but these creatures have a series of other talents, including the ability to calculate, recognize faces, and even use some tools.
An incredible video clip showed two bees demonstrating their talent in unscrewing the cap of a soda bottle to reach the sugary liquid inside the bottle.
And that amazing moment was captured in Sao Paulo, Brazil by a worker during his lunch break.
The shot shows the skill of the two bees as they twist the cover, which puzzled many on social media, as some wondered how such intelligence could exist in an insect with a very small brain, but the complexity of the connections between neurons could be more important for cognitive performance.
In fact, bees have proven surprisingly smart in recent research. These insects can learn from each other and use tools, and they can also count to zero and perform basic mathematical equations.
In a 2017 study, bumblebees were trained to roll a ball in order to get a reward, at which point these insects needed to monitor each other's movements and learn from their mistakes, and were able to do so with surprising ease.
Bees' fondness for all things sweet is well known, but in 2016, scientists at Queen Mary University of London found that drinking a small drop of sugar water allowed insects to enter an emotional state similar to human optimism, and that sweet water elevates the mood of bees.
Now, the next time you treat yourself to an al fresco lunch, you may want to keep an eye on your sweetened drink for fear that the bees will devise ways to get there.
