موقع Arabiaweather.com  -  أدت الأمطار الغزيرة التي تستاقط على محافظة "هيران" وسط الصومال إلى مقتل تسعة أشخاص على الأقل، وذلك جراء ارتفاع منسوب مياه نهر "شبيلي" الذي يمر وسط مدينة "بلدوين".

 

وصرح نائب رئيس المحافظة "أحمد عثمان أحمد" بأن الأمطار الغزيرة و الفيضانات قد ألحقت الضرر بمئات الأسر، حيثُ داهمت المياه منازل المواطنين الذين اضطروا إلى الفرار منها نحو المناطق المرتفعة للنجاة بحياتهم.

 

وأضاف "أحمد عثمان" إلى أن أكثر من ألف بيت في المدينة دمرت بالكامل ولحقت أضرار جسيمة بعشرات من المنازل مشيرا إلى أن هناك احتمالا بتزايد عدد القتلى جراء الفيضان بسبب أعداد المفقودين التي تفوق عن عشرات.
