<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">ArabiaWeather.com - Sinan Khalaf - His Excellency the Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites in Jordan, Dr. Hayel Abdel Hafeth Daoud, indicated that the Ministry is in the process of reducing energy consumption in Jordan's mosques by introducing solar energy systems.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> His Excellency the Minister had inaugurated the solar energy project at Al-Firdous Mosque in the capital, Amman, stressing the need to exploit renewable energy resources, which would work to reduce the high levels of pollution in the Kingdom, stressing that a number of mosques have actually succeeded in relying entirely on solar energy.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> His Excellency the Minister stressed that this plan, if successful, will save about eight million dinars annually, paid by the government for the electrical energy used in mosques, noting that the bills of some mosques in which the project was implemented have reached zero.</p>
