Gaza Strip faces rain, winds and polar cold in the coming days, and a distress call to confront the difficult weather conditions
Arab Weather - The Gaza Strip, like other regions of the Levant, is affected by the low pressure system and the cold air mass, which began affecting the region since Thursday.
Heavy rains fell on Thursday in different areas of the Gaza Strip, causing floods and rising water levels amid cold weather and low temperatures.
Weather conditions will worsen in the Gaza Strip in the coming days
The latest numerical model analyses indicate that unstable weather conditions will continue in the Gaza Strip in the coming days, as the cold air mass will continue to affect the Gaza Strip starting tomorrow, Friday, and until the beginning of next week, with expectations of rain falling in different areas of the Gaza Strip with varying intensity and at intervals.
Polar cold is rushing towards the region and the cold weather is getting worse in the sector, in light of the lack of suitable shelter conditions
Starting from next Saturday until Tuesday, polar winds are expected to deepen towards the eastern Mediterranean basin, including the Gaza Strip, which will lead to a sharp and significant drop in temperatures, especially during the night, dawn and early morning hours, and the weather will become noticeably cold in all areas. This coincides with the continuation of rain at intervals and the blowing of active northwesterly winds at intervals, which will noticeably increase the feeling of coldness.
Gaza Strip is crying out for help
Given the harsh weather conditions that our people in the Gaza Strip are facing, including heavy rains, strong winds, and severe cold, we are calling for help to all concerned parties, humanitarian and relief organizations, and to charitable and benevolent people everywhere to provide the necessary assistance to our people in the Strip, in light of the bad weather conditions that are likely to increase the suffering of families, especially in poor areas and camps that suffer from weak infrastructure and homes that are not qualified to face such conditions. There are many families who have lost their shelter or whose homes have been flooded, in addition to the urgent need for winter clothes, blankets, food, and heating means.
