Lebanon: Tuesday, the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan

The Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abd al-Latif Derian, issued the following statement:

"We have not proven to see the crescent moon of the blessed month of Ramadan, and therefore tomorrow, Monday, April 12, 2021 AD, is the day that completes the month of Sha`ban, thirty days, and Tuesday, April 13, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan 1442 AH.

As we congratulate Muslims on this blessed month, we ask God Almighty to make it a month of goodness and righteousness and blessing, and to guide us to his fasting, resurrection and etiquette, to work in obedience to him, and to restore his blessed days to all Muslims and Lebanese with security and tranquility, for He is the Most High, All Hearing and Responsible, and every year and you are well. ".
