What is the relationship of the hoopoe bird to the decline of heat in Kuwait?
Arab Weather - The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that the arrival of the "Hoopoe" bird to Kuwait is a sign of the end of the heat wave that swept the country this summer. The agency explained that the decrease in high temperatures during the night and early morning and the approaching appearance of the "Suhail" star, which indicates moderate weather, has prompted some migratory birds to Kuwait, including the "Hoopoe" bird, which is considered one of the first birds to arrive in the country, which heralds the beginning of the end of the heat wave.
The agency also noted Kuwait’s importance as a major transit area for migratory birds, some of which stay during the fall, winter and spring, while others cross to other areas and return in the spring. Last May, Kuwait recorded the highest temperature in the world in the Jahra area, reaching 51 degrees Celsius, while Kuwait City recorded 49 degrees, and Abdali 50 degrees, according to Kuwaiti media reports. The extreme heat resulted in several problems, including fainting cases and an increase in electrical loads that led to power outages after the load index exceeded 16 megawatts.
