ما هو مرض سكري الحمل؟

 

 يعتبر سكري الحمل أحد أنواع  مرض السكري الذي يصيب نحو 4-5% من السيدات الحوامل، ويصبح جسد الحامل المصابة به غير قادر على حرق السكر "الجلوكوز"؛ مما يؤدي الى ارتفاع مستوياته في الدم وغالبا ما يعود الى مستوياته بعد الانجاب.

 

ويتم تشخيصه عادة في الفترة الممتدة بين الأسبوعين 24-28 من الحمل أي في الشهرين الخامس أو السادس، وترجع إصابة السيدة الحامل به لعدة أسباب.
