Arab Weather - As the end of 2024 approaches and the beginning of the new year 2025 begins, Muslims around the world have begun searching for the date of the advent of the month of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH. According to astronomical predictions, the month of Ramadan is likely to begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025 , and last for 29 or 30 days , depending on the crescent moon survey by the Fatwa Houses in Islamic countries.

Fatwa houses in Arab and Islamic countries will observe the crescent moon of Ramadan after sunset on Friday, Shaaban 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to February 28, 2025. Astronomical calculations indicate that the crescent moon will be visible in the sky of Cairo for 37 minutes, while it will appear in the sky of Mecca for 33 minutes. Many countries use astronomical observatories to see the crescent moon in line with the Sunnah of the Prophet.
Fasting hours during Ramadan 2025
Fasting hours are expected to vary between Islamic countries during the month of Ramadan. In the early days, fasting hours will be around 13 hours in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. As the month progresses, fasting hours will gradually increase to around 14 hours by the end of the holy month.
