In details, the director of the electrical network in the Jordanian Electricity Company, Eng. Hassan Abdullah, revealed the opening of the Central Electricity Company for 9 operations rooms distributed in all governorates of the center Amman, Balqa, Madaba and Zarqa after announcing the maximum emergency plan today, Thursday.

1400 holidays within 24 hours:

On the current state of the network, Abdullah assured Ammon that the conditions are stable and that the number of malfunctions is normal in such weather conditions, reaching 1400 breakages within 24 hours, of which about 50 are left.

And that the collapse of a glass façade on an electrical transformer near the seventh district led to the interruption of electricity from the surrounding area, indicating that the volatilization of objects resulted in the interruption of electricity to areas in the central governorates.

1500 workers and 320 fault repair mechanisms :

Abdullah said that 1,500 workers , between an engineer, technician and administrator, are equipped with about 320 mechanisms to reach the fault centers as quickly as possible.

He pointed out that a good deployment of the company’s employees helps solve all problems faster.

Recommendations to avoid breakdowns and electrical accidents in this climate:

Abdullah demanded citizens to rationalize and reduce unjustified and necessary use of electricity, especially as these conditions increase the electrical loads, as the electrical load until five o'clock on Thursday evening reached about 1800 MW.

He also demanded to avoid stranded wires as a result of the fall of trees, God forbid, or their interruption due to winds and body blowing, and to report the company directly to the electricity emergency number: 06/4696000.

It is noteworthy that the Central Electricity Company, which distributes electricity to the governorates of Central Amman, Zarqa, Balqa and Madaba, feeds a million and a half million subscribers (meters) for homes, shops and complexes, according to Eng. Abdullah.
