Public Security Directorate: Update (9:00 pm) on the state of roads in Jordan
Arab Weather - The Public Security Directorate announced that with the intensification of the air depression in all regions of the Kingdom, the condition of the roads in the Kingdom until 9 o'clock this day is as follows:
Capital Territory:
All areas of the capital Amman are witnessing snowfall and the beginning of accumulation, and all main roads are open with great caution
Northern Territory:
Irbid and western Irbid, Mafraq and Ramtha are witnessing rain, and all main roads are open with caution.
Ajloun: It is witnessing heavy snowfall, and the main roads are traversed with extreme caution, except for the following roads:
- Ajloun-Irbid road and vice versa closed due to the accumulation of snow
- Ashtafina road towards Ajloun closed due to the accumulation of snow
- A rock road towards Arhaba is closed due to the accumulation of snow
Jerash: It is snowing and all the main roads are traversed with great caution.
Central Region:
Al-Balqa: It is witnessing snowfall, and the Sixtieth Street and Al-Kasarat Street are covered due to the accumulation of snow
Madaba and Zarqa: All roads are open with caution
Rusaifa: The Valley of the Moon area is closed precautionary due to the high water level.
Southern Region:
Karak: It is snowing and all the main roads pass with great caution
Tafileh: Snow fell, and all main roads are traversed with great caution, except for Sherif Al Hanoubi Road towards Busayrah, which is closed due to the accumulation of snow.
Shoubak: It is snowing and all main roads are traversed with extreme caution.
Ma'an: All main roads are traversed with extreme caution, except for the royal road, which is closed due to the accumulation of snow.
Petra: All main roads are traversed with extreme caution, except for the Dallagha-Wadi Musa road, which is closed due to the accumulation of snow.
The northern and southern Badia regions, all roads are open with caution
The central Badia regions are witnessing snowfall, and all main roads are open with great caution
The directorate called on citizens to take caution and use public safety means while driving, avoid leaving homes except for the utmost necessity, and to stay away from low-lying areas and torrential streams, and to comply with the instructions of the public security men deployed on the roads to guide and assist them.
And she stressed the need to follow the preventive behavior in dealing with heating devices, and to call the unified emergency number (911) or the 911 security application in case of needing any assistance or reporting a complaint.
