Questionable scene | A wheel falls off a plane right after takeoff
Weather of Arabia - A video clip, posted on Twitter, showed the moment a wheel fell from a plane, immediately after taking off from Italy and heading towards the United States, which raised questions about how it landed.
And the British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported that a "Boeing Dreamlifter" lost one of its wheels, which weighs about 100 kilograms, seconds after taking off from Taranto Airport in Italy.
The video captured the moment the wheel separated from the plane, which was heading to Charleston, South Carolina, on Tuesday morning, and fell to the ground.
It was later found outside the borders of the airport in southern Italy.
And the "Daily Mail" reported that despite the fall of the wheel, the plane landed safely in the United States.
"The Dreamlifter, operated by Atlas Aviation, landed safely earlier today at Charleston International Airport, having lost a wheel of its landing gear on takeoff from Taranto," Boeing said in a statement.
"We will support the investigation process," she added.
