The Governor of Aswan said, in exclusive statements to “The Seventh Day”, that 504 housing units were provided fully equipped with furniture and equipment in the urgent shelter housing in the Al-Alaqi area, east of Aswan, and the affected families had been transferred to them.
The governor of Aswan explained that the governorate, in coordination with civil society institutions, is working to equip urgent shelter houses with furniture, appliances, household supplies and furnishings to receive citizens who have a desire to reside in these units, until the completion of repairs or construction for their homes that have been partially or completely collapsed, and to ensure the provision of all basic and food commodities. The citizens in those apartments and the provision of the necessary health services for them, bread and butane gas pipes, which all the ministries concerned with the government cooperate in providing.
He pointed out that the political leadership and the government affirmed the interest of the political leadership and the government in these families and standing by them until their damaged homes are restored or re-established to cross the effects resulting from this crisis and achieve living and social stability for them, which is parallel to the completion of the inventory committees for the homes that witnessed partial or total collapses with accuracy and integrity. Transparency, and away from any manipulation to ensure that in-kind or material aid reaches its beneficiaries with fairness and without any favours.
