Egypt: lighting 1,040 poles using solar energy in four governorates
<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">ArabiaWeather.com- In its quest to switch to relying on solar energy, the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy in Egypt intends to light up about 1,040 poles with solar panels.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The poles will be installed in 4 governorates, with about 260 poles in each governorate, according to statements by an official source in the ministry to the local Al Mal news website <span style="line-height: 1.6em;">. Energy batteries will also be installed for the poles, in order to store them during the day for lighting at night, in the governorates of the New Valley, North Sinai and South Sinai, in addition to to Marsa Matruh.</span></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The New and Renewable Energy Authority had recently announced the lighting of another 865 poles in five governorates, including Luxor, Qena, Sohag, Aswan and the New Valley.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p>
