Egypt | After receding, the water floods the beaches of Ras El Bar and reaches nearby cafes due to the high waves
Weather of Arabia - The local unit of the Ras El-Bar City Council, in the far north of Egypt, warned vacationers in recent days against going to the beach, as a result of “high waves and the presence of unprecedented water withdrawals.” Visitors to Ras El Bar were surprised at dawn on Saturday by a strong surge of water that reached the café area facing the beach, which led to the flooding of several homes and sparked a state of panic among vacationers in the area.
At a time when the local authorities confirmed that the situation was under control, and that what was happening was only a severe withdrawal of water, cars belonging to the local unit toured Ras al-Bar, warning citizens via loudspeakers of the intensification of water currents and the danger of swimming at this time.
The unit explained that the instructions not to enter the sea come to protect the lives of citizens.
