A number of citizens, in several governorates in Egypt, felt an earthquake after two o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, and the northern Red Sea cities of Hurghada, Ras Gharib and Ras Shuqair were subjected to the earthquake, which was felt by the residents of these cities.
Eyewitnesses confirmed, in the governorates of Cairo, the Red Sea, Beni Suef, Sohag, Minya, Beni Suef, and South Sinai, that the earthquake occurred in their governorates.

The reason why some citizens do not feel the earthquake
The National Institute for Geophysical Astronomical Research in Egypt revealed the reasons why citizens did not feel some earthquakes, and indicated that the tremor that the country witnessed on Tuesday will have aftershocks over the next two days.
The institute explained on its Facebook page the reasons that lead to some people not feeling earthquakes despite their strength: “The best answer to that: It is very natural that citizens feel differently about any earthquake. ...on a ground floor or a high floor) and finally near the earthquake site," he said.
