Egypt: We found the wreckage of the plane, seats and body parts in the Mediterranean

ArabiaWeather.com - Sinan Khalaf - The Egyptian army announced on Friday that the search teams for the wreckage of the stricken Egyptian plane had actually managed to find parts of the wreckage 290 km north of Alexandria.

Al-Arabiya.net quoted the Greek Minister of Defense as saying that the teams of the Egyptian army had found human remains, seats and bags among the wreckage of the Egyptian plane, and stressed that the search work was still continuing for the bodies of the two black boxes.

Egyptian, Greek, French and British military units are participating in the operation, which is located near the Greek island of Karpathos.

On Thursday morning, EgyptAir announced that one of its planes had suddenly disappeared from radar screens after entering Egyptian airspace, just 10 minutes before arriving at Cairo International Airport.

The disappeared plane had taken off from "Charles de Gaulle" airport in the French capital, Paris, heading towards Cairo, with 59 passengers on board, in addition to a crew of ten, on its way to Cairo.

According to EgyptAir, the plane - which bears the number 804 - took off at 11:09 minutes Paris time, and disappeared from the radar in the early hours of the morning, that is, at exactly two o'clock and 45 minutes in the morning Thursday, Cairo time.
