وبين أن بلاغا ورد لمركز القيادة والتحكم بالإدارة العامة للدفاع المدني في أبها، أكد على أن مياه سيل منقول بوادي رثمة بصدر وائلة بتهامة عسير جرف سيارة من طراز جيب تويوتا وأدى لانقلابها داخل المياه، وبداخلها خمسة أشخاص، وهم السائق سعودي في العقد الخامس و(4) طالبات سعوديات ووفاتهم جميعا، خلال محاولات السائق عبور مياه السيل بالوادي
وذكر العاصمي أن المواطنين انتشلوا الجثامين من المركبة قبل وصول فرق الدفاع المدني للموقع، كما جرى نقل الجثامين لمستشفى عسير المركزي لإكمال الإجراءات اللازمة وتسليم الحادث للجهة الأمنية المختصة.
