Arab Weather - Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Regional Center are following the latest outputs from numerical computer models, which simulate the movement of air masses and weather systems in the northern hemisphere, especially the European continent and the Levant, as the shape of the weather systems appears striking and causes strong weather disturbances in Europe and heavy rains, which are met by breezes with lower temperatures, especially during the night hours in the Levant.

Cold upper basins over the European continent and heavy rain waves in the coming days

Weather experts at the Arab Weather Center reported that the European continent , especially its center and south, is exposed to cold upper air systems for this time of year, and this may be an indication of the gradual change in the weather systems and their acquisition of an autumnal character, as cold upper basins rush frequently towards the European continent, coinciding with air currents with high surface heating that merge with cold and humid upper air, which produces sometimes severe rain waves in several European countries, including the Balkan countries and Turkey, accompanied by hail, the formation of torrents, and rising water levels.

The cold upper basins lose their coldness when they reach the eastern Mediterranean and affect Jordan and the Levant in the form of cooler breezes.

These cold upper basins reach the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, but they lose their coldness at that time due to their passage through a vast geographical area, and thus their effects on Jordan and the Levant are in the form of sea breezes that cause normal summer weather and temperatures within the averages, and the effects of the less hot breezes are clear during the night hours, where a pleasant and humid weather prevails, gradually tending to cool down.

The upper air systems coming from Eastern Europe are also moving the upper subtropical high towards the east, which has caused the heat waves to move away from the Levant and Jordan during the rest of August, thank God.
