As a result, it is expected that a new air depression will be born in the region, with hours on Thursday evening, which will take center west of the Syrian lands, and be accompanied by an "extremely cold and polar" air mass, which will increase its impact on the Kingdom on Friday evening and Saturday morning, God willing.

This depression is expected to follow in its intensity, the second degree, according to the "Arab Weather" classification of the severity of the depressions of the air, which extends from the first degree "weakest" towards the fifth "the most severe and exceptional".

What is the difference between the expected new air depression that affected the Kingdom on Tuesday evening

The new depression carries an additional cold in all layers of the atmosphere, whether low, medium or even high from the atmosphere, and thus the presence of snowfall opportunities on high mountains that rise more than 1000 meters from the sea, especially southern ones.

However, the path of the new air depression is less exposed to the waters of the Mediterranean, compared to the previous depression, and therefore the amount of "precipitation" associated with it is less than the previous low depression, which brought significant amounts of rain to the north and central of the Kingdom was about 40 mm on average, and exceeded 65 mm barrier in the south of the capital, Amman, in the Marj Al-Hamam region.
