It is accompanied by a cold air front accompanied by dense thunderclouds, heavy rains and severe thunderstorms. This type of weather condition usually produces, as a result of its combination of winter and autumn characteristics, strong ascending air currents, which produces exceptional hailstorms accompanied by large hailstones, which damage public property.

Tropical moisture reaches the center of the depression and causes it to develop into a rainstorm.

God willing, tropical moisture will rush towards the Mediterranean Sea in an unusual manner during the coming days, coinciding with the undulation of the polar jet stream and the rush of a cold upper basin towards central and southern Europe via the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is considered part of the Mediterranean Sea that has been suffering from warming of the water surface recently as a result of marine heat waves.

With the combination of these weather conditions, a rainstorm forms over the European continent, where a deep low pressure system is created, accompanied by a strong cold air front that crosses many countries and causes a severe rain wave that leads to floods and torrents.

Weather experts at the Arab Weather Center said that the deep air depression will move eastward, and thus the cold air will cross the surface of the Mediterranean Sea, which is suffering from warming, coinciding with the extension of tropical humidity, so that the weather activity will intensify and strongly affect central and southern Europe during the period between Thursday 10/3/2024 and Sunday 10/6/2024, specifically the Balkan countries, especially Italy and Greece. A severe cold air front will form, accompanied by high-altitude thunderclouds, accompanied by heavy rains, thunderstorms and severe and successive hail, which increases the risks of torrents and floods in many areas.

Low pressure causes high temperatures in the Levant

In response to the deep low pressure system south of the European continent, an air mass with above-average temperatures and dryness is rushing towards the Levant, especially Jordan. Temperatures will gradually rise again starting on Thursday and will increase during the weekend and early next week, with temperatures returning to thirties in the capitals of the Levant, especially in the eastern neighborhoods of the capital Amman and Damascus.
