Strong cold waves bring snow and low temperatures as polar vortex activity hits Europe and North America
Arab Weather - The latest analyses from what is called computer simulation indicate that there is significant activity in the polar vortex coinciding with the change in the shape of weather systems and the undulation of the jet stream, allowing the cold polar air masses to sweep across many countries of the northern hemisphere, especially North America and northern and perhaps southern Europe, bringing with them negative temperatures and heavy snow to many of the aforementioned regions.
Heavy snow expected in North America, Canada and Scandinavia
In detail, polar air masses of extreme cold are directly blowing from the Arctic region towards North America and Canada, in addition to northwestern Europe, bringing with them snowstorms accompanied by strong winds and heavy snowfall that will accumulate and hinder aspects of public life, with a sharp drop in temperatures to below zero degrees Celsius. This comes as a result of the increasing construction of the stratospheric polar vortex and its greater cohesion since the beginning of November (which is the main distributor of cold air masses in the northern hemisphere).
Monitoring the possibility of polar winds reaching southern Europe
Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center are monitoring the possibility of a very cold polar air mass rushing from northern Europe to its south, as a result of the expansion of the Azores high pressure system. If the weather systems remain stable, southern European countries, especially Spain, France and the surrounding countries, will be exposed to a strong cold wave accompanied by negative temperatures and heavy snowfall.
And God knows best.
