A small ant may rid the world of global warming!
ArabiaWeather.com - Recently published research on climate by a group of scientists, the results of which were published in the scientific journal "Geology", and this research concluded that ants may one day become one of the most powerful biological climate brokers on Earth.
According to the research, the huge biological mass of ants, working in a regular rhythm, can contribute to the removal of large amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, since their numbers began to reproduce 65 million years ago.
The long-term impact of the ants' life on the soil is important - despite their life span of less than a year on average - especially for their important role in cooling the Earth's climate with the growth of their numbers.
According to Ronald Doron, a biologist at Arizona State University, the ants work to change the environment, as some types of ants have been discovered, called "weather ants", which work to secrete calcium carbonate or limestone, and in turn work to capture and removing quantities of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Scientists also discovered through their studies that ants are powerful natural weapons through which basalt sand collapses, and that it has the ability to break down minerals between 50 and 300 times faster than sand on bare ground.
