This country exempts Saudis from entry visa starting next October

Arab Weather - The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka announced the exemption of Saudi citizens from entry visas starting from October 1, 2024. The Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Kingdom, Amir Ajwad, explained that this decision aims to enhance communication between the peoples of the two countries, especially in light of the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them this year.

He added:

“Saudi Arabia is the third largest market in terms of tourism potential to Sri Lanka in June 2024, and ranks 23rd as a source market for tourists visiting Sri Lanka during the same period, according to a report by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).”
