Is the spread of locusts and insects in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque a natural thing? .. Or an exceptional case?
Weather of Arabia - Sinan Khalaf - Many are the video clips that monitor the widespread spread of locusts this year of all kinds in the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, which raised many questions about the reasons, and why the Two Holy Mosques in particular?
At the outset, we must point out that this is not the first time that locusts and insects spread in this way, and it will certainly not be the last, but they differ in their numbers and the strength of their spread from one season to another according to a set of factors and determinants:
Natural causes that stimulate and increase the spread of locusts in Makkah and Madinah
- It becomes more widespread after the rainy seasons, which are accompanied by a wide spread of vegetation, which provides a fertile environment for its reproduction, growth and nutrition. We all remember the unusual rainy season that the regions of Makkah and Madinah were subjected to, and how the lands of Makkah and Madinah were transformed into lush gardens and green pastures.
But why do locusts spread in the Prophet's Mosque and the Grand Mosque?
- The high lighting in the Two Holy Mosques, the high temperature, and the high humidity are all attractive factors that drive these huge numbers of locusts from the neighboring areas towards the Two Holy Mosques.
Here we reaffirm that this phenomenon is considered normal, recurring and varying in intensity from one season to another.
