The Civil Aviation Authority issues report No. (1) on the weather during the period 10-12 January 2023
Weather of Arabia - Today, the Omani Meteorology and the Civil Aviation Authority in the Sultanate of Oman issued its first report on the expected weather situation during the period from 10 to 12 January of the year 2023, which affects the Sultanate of Oman, and the report states the following:
The latest weather maps and analyzes of the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards show that the atmosphere of the northern Sultanate of Oman may be affected by a depression from tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10, 2023, and will continue until Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Clouds are expected to flow over the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah and Al Buraimi, with chances of rain of varying intensity and gradually extending to include the governorates of South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat and South Al Sharqiyah.
Expected effect:
- Scattered rainfall of varying intensity, cumulative, ranging from 10 to 60 mm, leads to runoff in valleys and reefs on Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Active downward winds, with speeds ranging between 15 and 25 knots (28-45 km/h).
- The sea waves will be medium to rough on the coasts of Musandam Governorate and the coasts of the Sea of Oman, with a maximum height of two to three meters.
The Civil Aviation Authority calls on citizens and residents to take precautions and caution during rains, valleys flowing, low horizontal visibility, and to check the state of the sea before going to it, and to follow up on the weather bulletins issued by it.
