New tourist destinations within the scheme of the `Our Jordan is a Paradise` program for the upcoming winter season

Arab Weather - After the success of the "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program dedicated to domestic tourism in Jordan, in achieving the desired goals, despite the restrictions and obstacles imposed by the Corona pandemic on the tourism sector locally, the committee based on the program is currently studying the inclusion of new tourist destinations within the program In the upcoming winter season , the committee periodically evaluates the trip programs and adjusts them to suit the citizens' desires and in line with the annual seasons.

In its version this year, the subsidized "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program, whose trips cost more than 50%, has contributed to revitalizing the internal tourism movement, by providing trips to many of the various tourist destinations that characterize the Kingdom, at prices suitable for all citizens.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Tourism Promotion Authority have also supported folkloric events and concerts that come within the national and regional campaign "Hawa South" launched by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, to stimulate tourism in the Golden Triangle.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities indicated in a statement that the program also seeks to mitigate the losses incurred by the tourism sector as a result of the Corona pandemic and help it recover, by involving tourist offices in organizing and implementing trips, tourist transport, tourist guides, domestic flights, and many tourist facilities such as restaurants and camps, And service providers such as saddlebags in Petra and four-wheel drive vehicles in Wadi Rum.

The number of tourist transport buses that transported participants from various governorates of the Kingdom to tourist destinations amounted to 2,256 buses, accompanied by 2,256 tourist guides.

The "Our Jordan is a Paradise" program, implemented by the tourism offices, provides free transportation through well-equipped and modern tourist buses that depart from all governorates of the Kingdom towards the tourist destinations available in the program, as well as allocating an accompanying tourist guide for each bus, in addition to providing meals.

The program, designed for the Jordanian citizen, provides “one-day” trips to several tourist destinations in the north, central and part of the southern regions, and overnight trips in the areas most affected by the pandemic that have suffered from the cessation of foreign tourism, such as the city of Aqaba, Petra, Wadi Rum, and other areas.
