The Ministry of Works announces a state of medium emergency starting Thursday morning 10/3-2022

Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced today, Wednesday, the start of work within the medium emergency plan, starting from tomorrow morning, Thursday, coinciding with the expected weather conditions that affect the Kingdom, according to information received from the Meteorological Department.

In a press release issued by the Information and Communication Unit, the Ministry confirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and to address the observations received for it within 24 hours through its 98 teams distributed over the various governorates of the Kingdom.

The ministry said that its directorates and offices in various parts of the Kingdom have been circulated fully prepared to face the expected weather conditions and conduct periodic inspection tours of all regions, indicating that the directors of directorates and offices working in the field have been assigned to raise the emergency plan as needed and developments in the weather situation.

She indicated that the emergency plan focuses on ensuring the sustainability of services provided to citizens on the roads within the jurisdiction, especially the roads leading to vital facilities, stressing that mechanisms and cadres will be installed in the areas most vulnerable to being affected by the expected weather conditions to ensure that any observation is addressed immediately to ensure the sustainability of services provided to citizens. .

In its circular, the ministry stressed the need for permanent and continuous coordination with the ministry's partners to work on solving and addressing all observations immediately to maintain the sustainability of services provided to citizens, in accordance with the government approach.

The Works called on citizens to take the utmost care and caution, and to pay attention to the low range of horizontal visibility, due to the expected rain and snowfall, and the risk of torrential rains forming in valleys and low areas, including the Dead Sea area, and to be careful while driving on external roads in most regions of the Kingdom due to the low range Horizontal vision as a result of the formation of fog touching the surface of the earth, and the formation of dust in the south and east of the Kingdom.
