The displaced Gazan explains that they are living in a difficult situation, as there is no food or water available. He points out that his children ate breakfast in the afternoon the previous day near his tent. The child, Samah Jalo (11 years old), points out that the rain entered the tent and soaked the mattress. She expresses her concern because of The lack of bedding and covers, noting that they suffer from cold at night, and fear the coming of winter, as they are exposed to rain without adequate protection.

The people of Gaza face extreme cold

One of the displaced people expresses their great challenges, saying:

“We have many problems. We are looking for food, flour, and firewood to make bread, and this is in addition to the problem of searching for water... Now we face the problem of rain and wind, which causes nylon and fabrics to fly.”

He points out that the floor of the tent turned into “mud” due to the rain, which led to the mattress being submerged. He complains about the lack of aid provided, stressing that they are forced to sleep on mats due to the lack of mattresses. He adds:

“We adults suffer greatly from the cold, so how about children?”

He also points out that all his children suffered from cold-related illnesses, such as diarrhea and colic, indicating the absence of medicines to treat them. Due to the lack of medical resources as a result of the complete Israeli siege, which affects pharmacies and government hospitals.
