Tarwiyah Day: The beginning of the Hajj rituals 1444 AH / 2023 AD
<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - Hajj for this year begins on Tarwiyah Day, which falls on Monday 8 Dhu al-Hijjah 1444 AH, when the pilgrims head to Mina to carry out the Tarwiyah and start the rituals of Hajj.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <strong>Tarwiyah Day:</strong></h3><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The eighth day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah is considered the Day of Tarwiyah, when the pilgrims perform the watering of water in Mina. On this day, the pilgrim doing tamattu is committed to a new ihram, while the pilgrim of singular and pilgrimage of qiran continues their first ihram.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> According to the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the pilgrims stay in Mina during the Day of Tarwiyah and perform five prayers: Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr prayer for the day of Arafah.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <strong>Naming the Tarwiyah Day:</strong></h3><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah is called the “Day of Tarwiyah” because of the process of irrigating the pilgrims with water on this day, in preparation for the coming days of Hajj rituals.</p>
