Tarwiyah Day | The first day of Hajj 1440 AH / 2019 AD
Weather of Arabia - Today, Friday 8 / Dhu al-Hijjah / 1440 begins, with nearly two million pilgrims performing Hajj rituals for this year. Where the Saudi authorities monitored the arrival of more than one million and 800 thousand people who came from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj, in addition to pilgrims from inside Saudi Arabia, and today is known as the Day of Tarwiyah.
Tarwiyah Day:
The eighth day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah is known as the Day of Tarwiyah, when the pilgrims head to Mina, and the pilgrim doing tamattu’ enters into a new state of ihram.
On the day of narration, following the Sunnah of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him; Pilgrims spend the night in Mina and perform five daily prayers:
- Salat Aduher.
- Asr prayer.
- Maghreb's prayer.
- eshaa pray.
- Fajr prayer for the day of Arafah.
The reason why the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah is called the Day of Tarwiyah is:
This day was called the day of quenching, because the pilgrims quenched themselves with water for the days that followed.
This year, the Saudi authorities provide an electric train known as the "Haramain Express Train", as this train connects Makkah and Madinah, and transports pilgrims between the holy sites to perform the rituals of Hajj.
