What is the difference between weather and climate?

The main difference between weather and climate is in the time period in which they are referred, where the term weather refers to the conditions of the atmosphere over a short period of time (an hour, a day or a week), while the term climate refers to how the atmosphere behaves over relatively long periods of time (A month or a season, or years).

The term "weather" is also used to refer to the state of the atmosphere resulting from fluctuations in the atmosphere layer near the surface of the Earth (the "troposphere"), during a short period of time that extends from minutes to several months sometimes, and it directly affects the daily life of humans in terms of mobility. Feeling cold and heat, and among the weather manifestations are clouds, rain, snow, wind, hurricanes, cold, heat, humidity and atmospheric pressure.

Climate is a description of weather manifestations for a long period of time, usually taken for a period of 30 years for a particular region, where the rates of the weather elements for this region are taken in terms of rainfall rates, maximum and minimum temperatures, and the prevailing wind pattern, in addition to the humidity ratios and the percentage of sunshine surfaces.
