The Authority provided sufficient assurance to consumers through its official account on the “X” platform that it is taking all necessary measures to prevent the entry of any unsafe or unhealthy products into the local markets. The Authority also confirmed that its work is based on technical regulations, systems and legislation based on international reference scientific foundations, with strict control procedures that include the entire supply chain.

The Authority stresses the importance of consumers’ confidence in the quality of foodstuffs available in the markets, whether local or imported, as all products are subject to careful control upon entry into the country, and samples are taken and tests are conducted to ensure that they conform to the approved specifications and are suitable for safe consumption.
