What is the troposphere?

troposphere; It is the lower layer of the atmosphere and extends from the surface of the Earth to an average height of 18 km at the equator and decreases to an altitude of 9 km at the poles. The temperature in this layer decreases with height by 6.5 m/km. In the lower troposphere, the temperature decreases horizontally from the equator to the poles. There is also horizontal and vertical movement of wind. It contains most of the water vapor present in the atmosphere in all its forms.

This layer contains between 80-85% of the mass of the atmosphere. Its height ranges between 8-18 km. Its end is called the tropopause.
