و مما زاد الأجواء شدةً على سكان العاصمة السعودية ، حُدوث انقطاع في التيار الكهربائي في عدد من أحياء العاصمة السعودية ، مما يعني عدم عمل أجهزة التكييف التي يعتمد عليها سُكان الرياض في التبريد بشكل جذري.

و في مناطق أخرى من المملكة ،عانت مناطق الشرقية و مكة المكرمة و جدة من شدة الحر أيضاً ، حيثُ وصلت درجة الحرارة في مكة المكرمة إلى 44 درجة مئوية!

 

وبحسب شركة الكهرباء السعودية فان سبب انقطاع التيار الكهربائي هو حدوث عطل فني في احد الدوائر الكهربائية مما تسبب في غياب التيار الكهربائي عن أغلب احياء شرق العاصمة السعودية الرياض
