السبب في ذلك يعود بعد مشيئة الله إلى تدفق الرياح الموسمية الرطبة نحو العديد من الأجزاء الجنوبية من شبه الجزيرة العربية، ما يوفّر ظُروفاً مُلائمة لتشكُل السحب الركامية والرعدية، وما قد يرافقها من هطول لزخات رعدية من المطر، و حدوث هبات رياح قوية مثيرة للغبار.

 

وتشمل الفرصة الأجزاء الغربية من البلاد، وبشكل غير اعتيادي أجزاءً من الربع الخالي.
