وأشارت بيانات مراكز رصد الزلازل إلى أن الهزة وقعت اليوم الأربعاء 26-9-2012 عند الساعة 3:28 دقيقة صباحاً وبلغت قوة الهزة 4.6 درجات على مقياس ريختر .


وسجل مركز الهزة على بعد 160 كم غرب دميري التركية الساحلية ، ولم ترد أي معلومات عن المناطق التي شعرت بالهزة حتى الساعة .
