30 seconds is enough to warm up the car in winter before driving off

Arabiaweather.com- Most of us heat the car in the winter before starting it, especially with the early morning hours, so some work to leave it in the running position for 10 to 15 minutes, while experts confirm that running the car for only 30 seconds is enough to heat it up .

In this regard, transport experts at the Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology confirmed to Al-Riyadh newspaper that the process of warming up the car in winter does not require, for modern cars, more than a few seconds in order for the oil cycle in the engine to be completed and ready to go, and these seconds do not exceed 30 in Worst case, because it runs on a fuel injection system instead of a carburetor.

Experts pointed out that the process of operating the car for long periods without moving it means a greater burning of fuel and thus an increase in the expenses incurred by the car owner, in addition to an increase in the amount of emissions and gases harmful to the environment resulting from burning fuel.

The experts also advised car owners not to turn on the air conditioning while the car is parked, because it only works properly when the vehicle is in motion.
