5 wonderful Malaysian islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park

Arabiaweather.com - Ismail Qasimi - The Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park or Marine Park consists of 5 islands that you can take enjoyable trips to, each of which takes between 15 to 30 minutes by speedboat from Kota Kinabalu (the capital of Sabah).

Gaia

It is the largest of the islands in the park and Gaya Island is the closest to Kota Kinabalu city centre. Here you can find plenty of hiking trails, scenic strolls in a virgin tropical reserve densely forested, there are a few resorts in certain areas, and of course there are expansive white-sand beaches and turquoise waters that can't be missed.

Saby

Sapi Island is located in the southwestern part of Gaya, and it also has one of the most beautiful beaches in this marine park, and there are many tourists who flock here to do various marine activities, diving, snorkeling, and enjoy camping and barbecue.

Manukan

It is the second largest island in terms of area in the park and arguably the most popular destination for locals in Kota Kinabalu, perhaps the reason is that Manukan has the most developed tourist facilities of the rest of the islands. And to get the best beaches on this island, it is recommended to head to the eastern part of it.

Mamutik

Mamutik may be the smallest of the five islands, but it is the perfect place for those who want to escape the tourist crowds.

Solog

Sulug Island is distinguished for being the most remote of the five islands, which makes it the most remote and undeveloped island among them, but this factor does not stop some travelers from visiting it and enjoying the calm and peace that exists in it.

There is also an island in the south called Tiga Island or "Pulao Tiga" for those who wish to travel to see the mud volcano or take a therapeutic mud bath there.
